Simon Harris's CV

Simon is an experienced theatre director writer and producer. His is a Creative Associate at Act Now and has co-devised and co-delivered various training programmes at Grant Thornton,, Valero and Wales & West Utilities. Simon specialises in devising and writing scenario-based training exercises, facilitation and communication/presentation skills. He has a background in organisational behaviour and leadership development.

Born and brought up in Swansea, Simon studied English at University College, London and originally trained as an actor at RADA. Until 2007, Simon was Artistic Director of the national company for new writing in Wales – the multi-award-winning Sgript Cymru. He followed this with participation on the prestigious Clore Leadership Programme. He has been an Arts Council of Wales Creative Wales Award winner, an Associate at the Torch Theatre and is now the founding Director of Lucid a resource for artist development and producer of innovative and distinctive theatre projects.

At Sgript Cymru, Simon introduced arts-based training into the company’s business and developed strong partnerships. This was recognised in 2006 with an Arts & Business Cymru Award (Staff and Involvement Partnership) for the company’s work with Hugh James Solicitors and, in 2007, a commendation in the Arts, Business and Employees category for its work with Legal & General.
